What is TV Landscape and what is an episode springboard

Hey everyone I am posting this message to ask you guys a question. What is TV Landscape and what is a episode springboard. It's for a contest that I am entering in and I want to know what they are? If you get this please comment on it and please answer my question

Kevin Jackson

I am not sure what a TV Landscape is, but a springboard is a summary of an episode. About a paragraph or two on what that episode is about. Usually in Animation Pitch Bibles you give 3. It is so who ever is reading the pitch or hearing the pitch can get an idea of how episodes feel/playout. For episodics, it helps the judges to understand the format of each episode. In serials, it helps the judges to understand how the story is going to build towards it's arc.

So basically an episode springboard is like a TV storyboard?

Kevin Jackson

Not a storyboard. A storyboard usually has images like a comic. I can send you samples if you would like.

You don't have to take my word for it. Look at what AWN has to say about Story Spring Boards. https://www.awn.com/animationworld/pitch-bible-just-essentials
