Good morning, everyone! I have a few scripts under my belt, including one that received incredible coverage, has been submitted to some contests, and I figured, why not send out some query letters in the hope of getting some interest?
I’m starting with managers, not agents, as it seems like a better starting point. I’m under no illusions of getting immediate positive feedback and getting signed (necessarily), but if nothing else, it will serve as experience.
My question is, do you have any tips, suggestions, or "don’t dos" that might be useful? Especially if anyone has gotten representation with this approach. I’m using IMDb Pro for research, as well as building a network here on Stage 32. Also, for now at least, I’m not looking to do any paid services or agreements. Like many, the money is a little stretched thin.
Anyway, I look forward to your feedback.
