Success Stories: JAN'3 Thanks, Stage 32!

Lee Chavis

Thanks, Stage 32!

Being "small potatoes" (and virtual newbie) with no budget, I am grateful that through Stage 32 I was able to find an actor and a composer for my short film "Daydreams of an Author." Sam Garrett was great to work with, and João Frias was kind and gracious enough to let me use his wonderful music. And it was fun! Coming soon: "Fifteen Minutes," the sequel. Hope to do future episodes, but with a DP. Got to start somewhere, though. http://youtu.be/LFBR9OUyNTo

Hey Lee, the video looks terrific! Love the concept and the execution. Joao's music compliments the piece perfectly! You should all be very proud. Thank you very much for taking the time to post and share how Stage 32 assisted in making the project come to life. Looking forward to the sequel, my friend! Keep charging!

Lee Chavis

Thanks RB! You made my day!

Debbie Elicksen

I love this. I must share it in my other networks...being a writer and in the process of writing a book, plus all the authors I've worked with who wrote a book. This is our story. :)

Milt Barlow

Hey Lee. Nice attempt out of the box and a god message. Would you like to upload to our site ? Love to have it. Best Milt www.firstritesfilms.com

Lee Chavis

Thanks Debbie. Your thoughts are what I had in mind when I wrote the script. It's a tough business.

My pleasure, Lee. Well deserved!

Wayne Brett

I enjoyed your film! Keep at it.

Bill Tindle

Hi Lee, Well done on completing your film. Don't worry about being small potatoes, i always remember what Anita Broddick (Founder of Body Shop) said " If you think you are tool small to make a difference, try going to bed with a mosquito in the room"

Naison Nero

Very impresive, beautifully shot and narated and a very acurate tale of many aspiring writers n filmmakers dreams.

Lee Chavis

Thanks Wayne!

Lee Chavis

Bill, it's nice to have a good laugh in the morning. Thanks!

Lee Chavis

Thanks Naison!

Deborah Weed

Simple and captivating... keep them coming...

Lee Chavis

Thank you, Deborah! Hope to have "Fifteen Minutes" out this Wednesday.

Keverne Eason Mapp

This is a great example of what men are ready to do to impress their women......dream of a better life for her, offer wild gifts that are tokens of love.....but the motivation to write has surely to be for the only Mistress that will ever smile on any personal idea....'Creativity',she is the only one that has offered me smiles,no matter how much success or little of it I obtain from my artistic work. Sadly, our efforts to impress our cherished lovers, are like waves crashing on a deserted beach....and the recognition we inevitably seek, lies within ourselves! Love everything you do....at least you like it! The title could be.....'Jessica'...for it is she that is the dream! Nice film.

Lee Chavis

Thanks Keverne, for taking the time to share your thoughts!

Scott Christianson

Nicely done. :)

Lee Chavis

Thank you, Scott!

Stephen Ossias

The emotion was strong, genuine. Very compelling. I wanted to see you get the agent and to see Jessica cheering you on, tears of joy in her eyes and yours! Great job!

Lee Chavis

Thanks Scott. I didn't realize how hard acting was until I got into this. Let alone the directing and post-production and self-doubt. Stage 32 is a great community. It's guys like you and others here who make it all worthwhile!

Scott Christianson

Yes you are right it is a complex and draining process but the end result is worth every pain making moment of it.
