Hi All,
Another COVID wave is going around, causing again cancelations of film & TV markets and festivals.
The latest cancelations include Sundance, the European Film Market in Berlin (see article), NATPE in Miami and Kidscreen.
How will this affect production and distribution? What has the industry learned from the previous waves?
I would love to receive your input!

Aye, so sad - I heard about Sundance. I'll share with my contacts who were scheduled to go!
Silly really, as omicron and new variants are... literally... less than common colds. Amid this, the UK has announced the END of vax and mask mandates and any hint of vax passports, and in the US the House Committee on Coronavirus is now starting to light fires under the tender toes of the White House, Fauci, et al for failures to follow actual science... the backlash is starting.

Interesting to see the backlash unfold. I wonder if there will be any backlash within the industry.
Thanks for the feedback. While event are cancelled, I see that most of the in-person meetings outside the festivals and the markets, continue.

I see that the "COVID Cold" killed over 3100 people in the U. S. today.
