Foreign press question

Hey yall, I am looking for advice on the best foreign sites/blogs for promoting a short film. Where have you had success before? We just released a short film, Thunder Road, but because of our rights deal it will only be online for a year. We are trying to find as broad an audience as possible in that time, and hoping to find some great sites to work with on that. Unfortunately, foreign audiences seem to always take so long to find our previous work. The film had a successful festival run, including being given the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance this winter, so we think people will be interested in writing about it. We just don't know who all to contact. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Ben, I'm not sure myself, but maybe a good place to start would be to network with James Kicklighter. His shorts have been distributed worldwide and he is a wealth of knowledge. Also, try David Paterson and Jason Mirch. Good luck!

Congrats, Ben!! Not my area of expertise, but have you asked the Sundance programmers, Film Independent folks, the programmers at other fests you've played, etc. for their advice? Many festival programmers have deep relationships with their colleagues and can hopefully put you in touch with some overseas programmers, distribs, etc.
