Hi all! I have just posted my first crowdfunding campaign to Kickstarter as a part of their Long Story Short project. I am new to this process. Any tips and tricks you guys have learned along the way to make the process smoother and more beneficial?
You need to put a lot of time into marketing and publicizing your campaign to your own email list, family, friends, business associates, etc. It's work, that's what it is, but it can be successful.
Thanks for the feedback. That's what I'm learning. I was wondering if anyone had anything they learned on how to most effectively and efficiently do that.
Responsiveness is important - if someone comments, contributes, or collaborates, respond quickly and graciously! It is momentum and gratitude all in one! There are also some good suggestions on Patreon about campaigning. Just search their videos on YouTube.
Agreed with Shadow. I'm backing a indie horror at the moment for a British director I don't know personally. I'll be posting an invite to the campaign later on via "my stage". His determination and tireless promotion via Twitter and other social net's got me inspired to contribute. So be restless and shout-out as much as you can. Having this digital era world-wide connection it's not so difficult as it seems.
