Hi Peeps, hope you all great and everything is going well for you professionally as well as personally. I'm director/screenwriter from Paris, France living in LA since 2014 and active member of stage 32 since 2015. Im currently working on creating my production company -- capital secure, research done, completing the business plan.... -- i am wondering for the ones who created their own, survived the first year and succeeded with their own: what are the things to avoid? what made your company successful? what do you regret or not?.... Any light on those topics would be strongly appreciated.
Keep on the good work peeps.
Best,
Louis.
Register your Film Company with the LA County Clerk as a LLC! Good Luck!
Thanks Tony appreciate it

Bonjour Louis-- There is a book that helped me start my production company here in NYC. It is called 'BANKROLL: HOW TO FINANCE YOUR INDEPENDENT FILM' By Tom Malloy. He is not just an author or consultant he actually has already produced a number of films with "A" list talent. He has raised millions of dollars. If you want to succeed this book will help.
