I have been a members since 2014, but have never really looked the site very closely until today. All I can say is WOW, this is a great resource and I will definitely be using it going forward.
I consider myself an entertainment entrepreneur. I have been in the cinema business since I was 13 when I started as an usher in a single screen theatre 40 years ago. Today, I am the CEO of a busy 5-screen independent movie theatre in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. In addition, I am a producer of film and television (see my IMDB for credits). I was absent from the production world a long LONG time and got back into it in 2013 and have been working on several projects since. Currently, I am shopping a pilot for sitcom called "Coming Distractions" around (I have posted the episode in the video section for your enjoyment) and also in the process of adapting it as a web series as well. I also act a bit and act as spokesman in our cinema's internet video commercial series (see the Film.Ca Cinemas channel on Youtube), I have had a few other small parts for fun and usually show up in a cameo in all of my productions.
My youngest son, David Knoll, is a young actor/musician and member of ACTRA (also a member here on Studio 32). Dragging him from set to set when he was a child is to blame for me getting the filmmaker bug again, but I am thoroughly enjoying being a producer... even with the lack of financial success in the endeavour so far.
