My name is Lucas Pops and I joined stage 32 from my phone awhile back, thanks to a Facebook suggestion, but never paid much attention to it until recently checking out the site on my computer and now I'm excited to dive into the community. I'm a screenwriter, with about six features, two pilots, and several shorts written, as well as a director and editor. I'm wondering if anyone knows the best way to go about getting a manager? I attended a panel at the Austin Film Festival, where they discussed how a screenwriter used a manager to secure an agent. But it seems like getting a manager has the same exact hurdles as getting an agent. Any advise?

I'd say check out the HappyWriters lounge! they have "pitch sessions" to managers all the time! Also, network on Stage32 and connect with managers/agents. You'll find the right one.
Pay attention! There's inspiration abound! Stephen mentioned the Happy Writers. Not a Lounge, but an incredible service all the same! I've pitched and used the coverage services with much success.
