Hey all!
In the past many months, I have spent days and nights trying to master something that I have loved since my childhood - Video Editing. I started off a year ago with android apps, and now since the beginning of this year, I use Adobe Premiere Pro.
I've always been trying to make it to the film and television industry, but two things have kept on disappointing me:
1. The vast competition
2. The scams.
Then, I found Stage 32, a platform where like minded creative people meet, share and work.
I hope somebody will give a newbie like me a chance to prove his worth.
I won't disappoint, I can promise that!
Most of my original work can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/c/ObscureDetails
Eagerly waiting for a response (or more)!
Thank you all, and stay safe! :)

Hey, Anurag Datta! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage32. Nice to meet you! Aww, I'm so glad you're enjoying our community! Anything, in particular, you'd recommend to new members? Is there a webinar or blog you've come across?
Congrats on pursuing video editing! What software are you using? I'm a Premiere Pro user myself. Also, there are SO many ways for an editor to show off. Have you ever attempted a mash-up? It's where you take clips to things you definitely don't have the right to, but you put it to music (like a music video). The key is to use enough shot variety where it either reads like a fan video or as simply more than a retelling of the original footage ('cause then you could be sued). Look it up and have fun!
I’m sure you’ve already discovered the Post-Production Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/post_production), but definitely reach out on the Filmmaking Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting) for insight into storytelling, camera language, and even when you want to generate interest in cutting trailers!
I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect!
Hello!
This community is marvelous!
There are two things I specifically loved about this community:
1. There are a lot of like - minded individuals to interact with and learn from
2. While going through some comment threads, I found out that a lot of constructive criticism is exchanged around here, which is amazing!
I use Premiere Pro for editing too! I was searching for editing jobs around here, but to my disappointment, found none of them matches my location (Kolkata, India).
So, I was looking for some work-from-home editing gigs (even assistant editor would be great!), because I wanna apply whatever I have learned, and learn more!
And I'll read your blog right away!
Thanks a ton for commenting! :D
PS: One quick question - How to mention someone in my comment? Like you have mentioned me? This is my first lounge post, so I'm pretty much a rookie. :D
