Hey, I’m Ryan — born and raised in Chicago, now living in Los Angeles. Currently deep in the rewrite of my first screenplay titled Confidence.
This process has taught me a lot, not just about writing, but about trusting the journey.
Next steps? Wrapping up the rewrite, revisiting my logline + synopsis, and building my portfolio.
I’m looking to connect with other up-and-coming screenwriters and creatives in the industry — whether that’s through in-person meetups, friendships, partnerships, or just learning from one another.
Let’s grow, create, and really immerse ourselves in this life.

Hey, Ryan Wilford. MJ or LeBron? I'm kidding. Someone should make a movie about the G.O.A.T. debate though.

Maurice Vaughan lol I'm not a sports guy, but of course MJ! I did grow up watching sports and remember all the bulls games in the 90s especially being from Chicago. So, MJ all the way, lol not even a LeBron fan by any means.

I'm going with MJ too, Ryan Wilford. I might write a G.O.A.T. debate script. Probably just a short script.

Hi Ryan,
It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm Imola, a 14 years old aspiring director, screenwriter, and producer from Hungary.
Confidence sounds like an interesting project! What is it about?
I'm currently trying to make up epic sci-fi stories :) When I have a script, I will present it at a pitch session

Sounds good! Maurice Vaughan // Imola Orbán - Nice to e-meet you! and good luck with you journey. You're starting early which is great.
Confidence is about a brilliant but damaged teen named Victor who survives a suicide attempt and becomes obsessed with creating a drug that gives people unshakable confidence. Years later, he actually pulls it off—he tricks his former bully, Josh (now a pharma exec) into funding his project trials. But things get out of hand fast, and it’s up to his estranged son and Selene (daughter of one of Victor's former employees who died during one of his test trials) to stop the chaos before it spreads too far. It’s a mix of psychological drama and social commentary with a little sci-fi edge. :) Thanks for asking.
