This was such an inspiring account from a department that is normally overlooked in the creative process. What have you worked on during the lockdown that has brought you healing?

I certainly haven't gone through what those editors have, and it's very inspiring to hear their stories, but something that's helped me 'heal' this past year is changing jobs. I had the incredible opportunity to start working with my friends (which was originally just a fun thing to do on my own time) that led to actually working for them. We all get along so well, and our content is very light-hearted, lots of fun, and we strive to keep mental and physical health a priority in our lives.

Wow, that's incredible, Sam Chambliss! I think a lot of people are catching on in this business to ensure that their physical/mental/emotional/spiritual well-being is a priority. It's so good to hear you're able to work with a team you like and on material that brings you joy! Any chance you can share some of that with us? :-D
Heh, Karen "Kay" Ross you mean share what we are working on, or share some of the good mental health situation? :D
Any of that you feel comfortable with, Sam Chambliss!

Well, on the business side of things, we are at a financial point where we can use some funds from our main product lines to produce short films. Ones that we want to make. Then we are able to use that material in our next line of products (teaching Resolve).
And all of our business relies on our own output, not clients. That means we can work when we need to/ have time. Which segues into our mental/physical health. With open schedules we can take time off if needed, as long as projects get done. And everyone can help in any dept., so no one if left hanging.
We are also starting to make Wednesdays 'Learning' days. That's where people are allowed to take time to learn something; be it something new or build upon something we have interest in. It's pretty cool.
