Does anyone have suggestions on a place to get good quality images, maybe AI generated, for free. I'm looking to put together a pitch deck on the most non-existent budget.
Hi Niall. I'm an AI consultant for ethical integration in the film industry. Gemini is fine, these days ChatGPT is catching up. But they all have a monthly subscription to them. However, when using AI imagery, it's very difficult to make humans look realistic, so AI imagery excels in close-ups of objects, wide shots and more. The most well known AI imagery tool is Midjourney. Recently it's actually a bit more difficult to escape the "plastic look" of characters unless you prompt it with the word documentary, then it gets more realistic. There's more to it, but it's not a simple, search and find situation.
Depends on what sort of images you want Niall McCusker. I've found https://www.pexels.com/ to be a good source. Not always exactly what I wanted, but they are free.
Hi Niall, you have to be more precise about what type of images you are looking for. If you are looking for stock images; pixabay offers a wide range of free materials. Also you can try generating images on META AI, it offers unlimited image generation without paid subscription. I myself am a graphic designer so feel free to connect with me if any doubts persist.
pixabay.com pexels.com Use AI generated images if you really want to ensure that the people you pitch to have seen the faces a thousand times this month in other decks.
Those sites also have human-created images, too Shadow Dragu-Mihai. I've used them for years. But mostly for backgrounds. Nobody looks that close at the background on a slide. It's more about capturing the general aesthetic.
But for character images, no. I used photos and an online image blender called ArtBreeder for my characters to get human-looking faces. There are lots of image blenders in the games development world. It really depends on what is wanted. If I need quality photos, Shutterstock. I'm not using AI to generate content.
Maybe try Google Gemini, it can generate AI images for free, and might help with your pitch deck visuals.
