Hi everyone! I hope this question has not been answered already in a previous thread. I'm looking for some advice about script/screenplay-writing software. What do people recommend as the 'best' one? I'm willing to spend a bit of money if a subscription fee is needed. I'd also love to know, if one example is the best, then why? What makes it the best, and what separates it from the also-rans? Thanks in advance for all help

Hey, Tom Emmerson. Final Draft 12 is the best in my opinion. It's really easy to use. It has a lot of great features for writers when they're writing scripts and filmmakers when they're getting projects ready for production. Some people consider Final Draft the industry standard.

As Maurice said Final Draft is industry standard.I use Celtex because I started with their free version got used to it so moved on to their payed subsciption version. The only issue I've ever had was sharing when I was working with another writer who was using Final Draft but thankfully the other writer was more tech savy than me and fixed the issue within a day.
