"Alright guys.... you wanna talk about a labor of love? This is the definition. 5 years ago me and my amazing costars @adamherschman and @celia.diane set out on a once in a lifetime film making adventure. Our director and all around great guy @rickdarge put together a small but crack team.... @stoopidtall was one of those maniacs, not only did he shoot the damn thing but He got an old bus and gutted it, he put bunks in there and a working kitchen... where ricks mom would make us beautifully cook meals... and that bus became home for three weeks. We drove from San Fran to NYC and made a movie. Some of it was scripted and some of it wasn’t, sometimes we saw something and just decided to pull off to the side of the road. The story kept changing and evolving. It was physically taxing but mentally and spiritually stimulating. Once we got home from three weeks on the road I thought it was over.... but a few months later I got a call from rick and he told me that the story was evolving yet again. We did some reshoots and slowly but surely zendog took shape into the film you can see soon. I always said we were making less of a film and more of a feeling and When I watch this one I feel like that mission was accomplished. It’s a psychedelic thoughtful journey put together with blood sweat tears and a lot of heart and love. We shot so much footage we could have probably cut together 10 different movies, there’s a mini doc on the dvd so you can see some of the behind the scenes madness and some deleted scenes and commentary tracks, the making of is just as interesting as the film itself. The hustle is real and indy film is a true labor of love. Keep watching and support independent film. Congratulations zendog team, you are family for life.
