Science Fiction is the Jazz of Literature Stephen Jacobs
Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art. Charlie Parker
All a musician can do is to get closer to the sources of nature, and so feel that he is in communion with the natural laws. John Coltrane
"Some players get very philosophical & cerebral about Jazz. You don't need any prologues, you just play."---Oscar Peterson
Jazz is the most sophisticated approach to performing music ever invented. It can take any form, style, genre or structure of music from anywhere in the world and incorporate it into the Jazz musical vocabulary and instrumental techniques. Then it can use all of this capability instantly, with astonishing creativity, both individually and collectively. This Transcends and Eclipses every music before Jazz evolved into existence.

Art Blakey! Yeah! I had the honor of meeting "GOD" once when he came through L.A.
