What Writing Software Do You Use?

Some of you may be using Final Draft, Celtx, or even a basic pen and paper. Some may have a typewriter still lingering on their desk.

But ask me this—Do you desire something new?

Do you require a superior writing software? If so, what do you desire in it?

A new user interface?

More customizable tools?

AI-enabled help?

Something else that hasn't been created yet?

I am working on something, and I would love to hear your feedback.

Be detailed in the comments:

Do you require a new writing program?

What do you want it to have?

What does it lack in the current ones that you use?

Your opinions will define what happens next. Let me know!

Hi, Somay Gupta. I use Final Draft 12. I also use WriterDuet as a backup. Final Draft 12 is my favorite, and it's really easy to use. I would like emojis in Final Draft 12 (like in Final Draft 13), but that's not important.

Call me old-fashioned, but I use Final Draft 11. It's reliable, fast and it lets me jot down my thoughts.

Morgan Drasan

Final Draft 11, cause I can't afford the upgrade

Oh trust me I was a total mess when I started Microsoft Word pen & paper and a one-of-a-kind format that made no sense to anyone but me Honestly I think even my keyboard was judging me. But hey look at us now glow-ups happen in writing too

I use Celtex Somay Gupta and for now, I am happy with it! That’s amazing you are developing a new writing software, go for it!

Somay, I use Final Draft 6...and even if I found the program in a Power Mac I inherited from a codirector of a documentary I was in, I'm glad FD 6 is in there. (Hasn't let me down yet!)

I use Trelby. This freeware is easy to learn and can export pdf and rtf. It can both import and export final draft format.

I hope you all know one thing. Different screenwriting software differ when it comes to the amount of empty space at the end of each scene. As far as I remember, Final Draft has half a line more empty space than most competing programs.

I´m a Celtx guy!
