Screenwriting : My experience with Stage 32 2-Part Lab: Perfect Your 5-Minute Pitch for AFM with Alexia Melocchi by Sandra Isabel Correia

Today I'd like to talk about how wonderful Stage 32 2-Part Lab: Perfect Your 5-Minute Pitch for AFM with Alexia Melocchi was. 

My purpose for this education lab was not AFM because I live in Lisbon and cannot attend AFM. My goal was to improve my pitch and be able to pitch in 5 minutes without using notes. I am Portuguese; English is not my native language, thus my struggle is greater. 

First Lab I was a complete failure; my pitch took 20 minutes, not 5 minutes. Alexia was fantastic; she corrected where I needed it, offered me great notes and comp ideas, and her approach was really precise and professional. Second Lab, I was able to pronounce it in 8 minutes without having to read anything. But that was not excellent. Alexia worked with me again on the pitch, giving me good spots and I was almost there. 

I improved the pitch and pitched it again to Alexia.

 Guess what? 

From not good to acceptable I progressed to superb. I am quite proud of it! 

Alexia is a wonderful instructor, and she understands so much that with her help, you can nail your pitch too. I am also grateful to my lab colleagues, who provided excellent guidance. Thank you.

 If you want the best pitch, I recommend doing this lab with Alexia Melocchi; she is the best!
