I have a few basic principles as I meet hollywood folks. They are: 1. Be different and be a professional. Have an identity. Make small talk. 2. Have Fun! Get to know people. I’m not on a mission to do business, I’m on a mission to meet people and make friends. 3. Know your resources, help others. Connect people to other people. Be a catalyst. 4. Tell a fun story they will remember. With the second rule. I became aquainted with Stephen Apicella. One of the kindest people I have ever met in the biz. We talked about Technology. Barely talked about writing and that was fine. Apicella) 2010 Twelve (first assistant director) 2009 Solitary Man (first assistant director) 2009 Duplicity (first assistant director - as Stephen Apicella) You just don't know until you get to know someone.

With all respect. I think you are majoring in the minors. Of course we do business and hold a business mindset. However, when a person is self serving and it comes from a point of selfishness. It will often get noticed. If you come from point of being genuine. Things are different. That's what I personally believe. Business minded! I could agree with. Self serving? A crash and burn idea... Hollywood makes deals and good deals are built on great relationships.
