In this exclusive Stage 32 lab, you will take your female-driven one-hour television pilot from concept to script. Along the way, you'll be guided by a successful executive and work one-on-one with them, receiving direct and personalized feedback throughout the eight weeks.
Taking you through this professional-level training is Director of Development Colleen Labella of Shoot to Midnight, the company behind the Emmy-nominated series RUSSIAN DOLL on Netflix, the Freeform series SINGLE DRUNK FEMALE, and the upcoming Star Wars series THE ACOLYTE.
Colleen has centered her career around womxn stories and the LGBTQIA+ community, which can be seen across these varied projects.
Three of your eight sessions include one-on-one meetings with Colleen to get personal feedback on your work so that you leave this lab with a fully drafted script vetted by an industry executive.

Hey everyone! I’m so excited for this upcoming lab — Colleen is incredible, and we’re so lucky to have her leading it. This lab is always a favorite, and we just announced it… but there are already only 7 spots left! https://www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32-screenwriting-lab-wr...

Hi all! Did we ever get a video recording of the zoom to refer to the sample when we write our one pager?

Female driven? Would that be like Driving Miss Daisy? After all, Morgan Freeman drove Jessica Tandy all around.

Jane Gilmore Did you get it figured out?

No, did you get an email with it? Also, this board isn’t limited to our group so I’m wondering about that as well.

Hi all, this last week has been crazy for me. I will be in class tomorow (unless all hell breaks loose) my bro-in-law is in the hosptial and next I go to Mayo Clinic for my health and then I'm going to Williamsburg, VA for Scares That Care and their first Killer Pride event. I am looking forward to learning more and hopefully having a quiet week at some point!

Laura J Hickman, have fun in Williamsburg. I was there several times. I am originally from Virginia. Maybe unoriginally as well.

Sending love, Laura! It’s always everything all at once, isn’t it? I am sad to miss class tomorrow but I am at the Nashville Film Fest and will be pitching my pilot right in the middle of class.

Sydney S I'm good... just traveling all week which is screwing up my writing time. 6 hour drive to doc appts and then six hour drive home, then flights to a writer's conference! I need a break! :)

Hey, Laura, Good to here that you're good! That sounds like a whirlwind week. Traveling that much would throw anyone off their writing rhythm. Hopefully, the writer’s conference is inspiring enough to make up for the exhaustion. Make sure to sneak in some “you” time too and self care—you deserve a break!
