Screenwriting : Trainspotting (Script) by Theresa Clark

There's no way that's the original script. it's a transcript by someone who barely knows how to write screenplays.

Richard Toscan

Well... I think this is a duplicate of http://www.dailyscript.com/scripts/trainspotting.html and is actually written in standard screenplay format, so doesn't have the hallmarks of typical awful transcripts. Simplyscripts.com seems to think this is a draft just before the shooting script. It's called a "shooting draft" on the title page.

William Martell

I only looked at the first couple of pages, but it looks real to me. What looks wrong to you?

Jean-Pierre Chapoteau

The fact that the script looks terrible, and no one should refer to it if they want to be in this business is what's wrong with it.

William Martell

Try to be specific please. How can you spot a transcript and what differentiates it from a real screenplay. In this case, I have no idea why a transcript would exist because the screenplay has been officially published a few different times. If you have that published version and it's different than this, that's an answer.

Jean-Pierre Chapoteau

CJ, are you being sarcastic?

David Levy

Structure is in the eye of the beholder. Could be the way it was posted.

Jean-Pierre Chapoteau

The presentation looked a mess to me. I know, I know, "story is king" but still. It looks like crap.

David Levy

Could be the way it was posted.

Leona McDermott

I copied and pasted a scene into Final Draft. It was was written in FD as the action and dialogue length match. Further to what CJ said, it looks weird because it's on such a large white space.

Theresa Clark

I'm sorry everyone! I'll fine a pdf version. Triple thanks for the comments!
