What Collaborating Is and Is Not Between Screenwriters, TV Writers and Authors

I've been a published author since age 8; promoted live rock-jazz-soul-r&b-reggae shows/broke national acts from age 14-30; published syndicated blog since 2000 to date; and perfecting adaptation of my novels, short stories and blogs to films, TV, streaming media, graphic novels, comics and writing code/establishing brand(s) for video games based on my family biz (Tuff Cat LLC)'s library. I wish someone would educate many behind and in front of the camera that when I state I want to collaborate with another writer or producer, it does not mean I am Bank of America or Deutsche Bank to anyone's project or talent for pay. Collaboration is quid pro quo.

FYI. Quid pro quo means a screenwriter/TV writer/author brings proof of past written works or current works that they have in progress and I in turn have the same. Together we then negotiate to work together for a stand-alone project or for multiple projects like most professionals in the industry do. Education and effective networking depend upon industry professionals being at the top of the learning curve and not expecting someone else to entirely take the risks, foot all the bills and do all the work. Many of us have had too much experience with this and it needs to be spelled out. Happy writing.
