Hi, a film director has asked me to me his script revisionist - I'm way flattered, but don't know what/how to charge. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

If you are on a non-Union project in a right to work state, chances are they are not going to want to pay Union rates. Get an idea of the budget of the film as well as how much they paid the original writer. Also, find out if they are going to credit you as an additional writer. Because credits are worth a lot in this business, if they want you to "ghost write" you should be compensated more. AND GET IT ALL IN WRITING!
Thanks Dan and Allen! Don't think there's any budget for this film yet. The director is an award-winning director, however I don't get the impression he has much money to work with as yet. Will check with WGA Dan, thanks for offering re. agent. Will post on that.
Here's the www.wga.org link - http://www.wga.org/uploadedFiles/writers_resources/contracts/min2014.pdf Have a feeling I wouldn't be paid anything like the suggested minimums....
As the Joker said, "If you do something well, never do it for free!" ;) If someone things your worth something to their project, then you are worth paying for.
