What's a writing prompt you've used? Let's make a list of them.
I'll start: "An interrogation scene"
I set the scene in space, and I could easily turn it into a script idea.

Oh gosh, I don't know. I think everyday life with my family naturally gives me ideas... what else do you use as a writing prompt?

I get ideas from everyday life too, Lauren Hackney. I also use pictures and videos online, social media posts, props, etc. as writing prompts. And I look for writing prompts online.

I have a friend who writes books of various writing prompts, I don't know where she plucks them all from!
One of my favourites is: A brand new car sits on the driveway of a run down house.
or The enemy is all around... that one we used in a writers room session where we looking at visual storytelling and set a task to create a montage... that was fun!

What is a writing prompt? Maybe I'm just dumb...

Why does stage 32 double my posts?

A writing prompt is a word, sentence, picture, etc. that sparks your creativity, Jon Shallit. Like "bookbag." I could write a scene about a bookbag, build a script around a bookbag, or come up with dialogue about a bookbag.
It shows two comments sometimes when I comment on a post, but it's really only one comment.

Ok. I just don't think that way. These are listed in a book for writers? People need these to get started on something?

There are writing prompt books, Jon Shallit, but I just find prompts online. I can come up with things without prompts, but prompts help sometimes.
