A couple of samples of drama directing. The first featuring Brian Murphy - ever amazing even in his 80's - star of numerous hit Uk TV series including George and Mildred and Last of the Summer Wine and Sean Brosnan (yes Pierces son). Personally love his rugged style and I hope he goes a long long way. The second half is part of m work on the BBC drama directing course that I was fortunate enough to be accepted on to. Essentially this is a scene from BBC series 'Doctors'. Apart from being very time restricted, the other challenge was that the course tutors took me to an office in BBC Elstree studios and said "this is your location for the scene which is the two doctors meeting for a drink in a restaurant!! So it had to become a restaurant, with virtually no time and very few props. I shot it day for night and in much lowered lighting to try and conceal the fact that, for example theres a large photocopier behind the wicker wood screen in the background....what can I say - BBC budgets aint what they used to be!
