GAP YEAR
By Shari D. Frost

GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE:

When an overachieving freshman mourning her mother walks AWAY from their shared dream — her first day of Harvard — and TO her mother's childhood home, she must find a way to penetrate a neighbor's advancing dementia or lose her last opportunity to connect with the mother she never really knew.

Steve Sherman

This wouldn't by chance be autobiographic, would it? :)

Mark LaFever

This sounds like it's got a lot of potential. Does the quirky family live in the inner city, or does the off-the-grid protagonist just pick the inner city to hide in while working for the quirky family?

Chanel Ashley

I like the premise, Shari, but all we have is a one sentence logline - any chance the script may go up one day, or are you a burnt-out over-achiever on an exotic gap year overseas trip, LOL.

William E. Spear

Later to the conversation but the logline does have impact. Compliments.

Annie Mac

What's the latest on this one, Shari! It's been a year...
