Introduce Yourself : Hi People of Stage 32! by Jessi Seguin

I've been on Stage 32 a few months, I think. I'm currently in the throes of putting up the 5th annual SpringWorks indie theatre & arts festival in Stratford, Ontario, Canada so time kind of gets away from me. In addition to co-running the whole 11-day festival with about 50 companies performing/presenting/being generally artsy, my brother and I are producing a show I wrote called The Cousins of Corsica. If anyone is in the Stratford/Toronto/Southern Ontario area May 7-17, it's a pretty exciting event. BUT the point is busy busy busy and because of it, my sense of time is a bit funky right now. I trained as an actor/singer/dancer all my life, but was always into playwrighting. My family didn't have a television while I was growing up (my older brothers decided they didn't want one before I was even in the picture) so the wonders and possibilities of storytelling on film and television are very new and SUPER exciting to me. I haven't been able to take full advantage of the amazingness that is Stage 32 but it's done wonders for me as an artist and a person - finding my people, seeing the reality of people making their dreams happen, just the general support that is offered by both the management and the users. It's truly lovely!
