Screenwriting : Not Quiting by Rafsan Mahmud

Rafsan Mahmud

Not Quiting

I'm 23 years old, still unprofessional screenplay writer. I want to be a professional screenplay writer. I'm done with my 2nd screenplay. Not quiting. Still far way to go.

CJ Walley

You go for gold, Rafsan.

Mike Romoth

Good luck. We are all trying hard to succeed.

David Levy

It is a steep hill to clinb. Just keep looking forward and you will keep closing in on the top.

Danny Manus

You can all keep blowing the encouraging smoke, but give him some advice he really needs... Rafsan, don't quit and keep going but keep studying English and grammar because your post was not really in proper English. And if you want to work as a writer in Hollywood, that is going to be important. So, keep at it! But keep studying and reading and writing and practicing English and grammar as well.

Rafsan Mahmud

Yes, Thank you Mr. Danny. :)

Craig D Griffiths

Hi Rafsan there is no reason to quit. There is nothing prevent you from writing. You can write for your entire life and nothing or no one can stop you. There is no needed qualifications, no licensing. You must keep writing. If you can write ten scripts with no success you are a writer. If you are only writing because you want a pay day. You should quit. There are so many writers the chances of hitting it big are small. If you are not willing to do it for free you should find another way of making money. Trying hard to be positive and encourage your passion. But if there is no passion you should stop due to low chance of success. I wanted be a writer when I was young. Didn't have the skill (dyslexic due to brain injury) so I went and forge a career in the data industry. Now at 50 technology can support me and I can tell my stories. I have always written, I never stopped. You have to assess your passion. Would you be better served doing something you love.
