New to LA, looking to net and work!

Hello everyone! I just moved to LA from London on an O1 Visa! Looking forward to collaborating and networking with all of you :) I really want to work on a new media project to become SAG Eligible so anyone who would be interested in collaborating on a project, please get in touch! Have a great weekend and Happy Holidays! :) x

I had no chance to welcome you to Stage 32 as I joined us before me, but at least I can say welcome to L.A. :) Since you've been a member for a while, you probably read all of the blogs about moving to L.A., and who knows, maybe you got the O1 Visa after watching our webinar about it. :) For the networking part, you're definitely in the right place, we have thousands of members in LA area alone, so make sure to check out the Connect page and find people you'd want to work with and... connect. Don't forget the meetups: https://www.stage32.com/meetups?location=5368361 - possibly the best way to meet new people and start good working relationships is by meeting them in person. I personally go to almost ever Art of Active Networking in LA, but looks like there's a new meetup in Santa Clarita as well. Finally for SAG, I'd use google to search stage 32, here's a query you can pop into google for that: site:stage32.com intitle:bio SAG This will show you about 300 Stage 32 members who listed "SAG" in their bio (another reason to fill out your bio completely)

Hey Esther!! Congrats on the move. Hope you brought a coat?! Check out my free ebook on moving to LA. It's geared toward the Euro actor but it might help you out :) www.rachelrath.com/ebook/index.htm BREAK A LEG!! YAY!! xx

Tomasz Mieczkowski

Thanks for the share Rachel, I'll check it out as well. Did you make that move yourself prior to relocating to NoHo?

Esther Eden

Thanks Rachel! I think I may have come across your book as I was googling stuff before I moved. How long have you been in LA now and how's it all going? :) x

I totally recommend finding the neighbourhood you want to live in and hanging out in the local coffee shops until you find a place round there. I ended up in a place right under the Hollywood sign. I loved it there for 5 years! I moved to NYC this time last year for a different adventure. I'm now on an EB1 green card that I filed myself without an attorney. Here's my story www.artistgreencard.com Really hope my LA guide book helps you guys out. I just went Google fi so it's handy when I'm home/back in Europe and great too that I'll never lose my US number :)

Esther Eden

Sorry for the late reply! Congrats on your greencard! That is so awesome, how are you finding NY? Will definitely check out your new website, thanks for the tips! :)

Rachel Rath

NY is fab so far. Backstage.com is great for jobs so keeping busy... It's -2 today so that's not good. I do miss that LA sun :) Here's to winning a billion later and grabbing a latte at The Ivy with you guys...
