The Dancing Dodo is moving on up! I had one script request last month and an awesome pitch session last week. But TODAY I got a script request from RoMark Entertainment, An Honorary Mention at the LA Film and Script Fest and a major talent attached in a lead role (I'll tell you who after he has singed the LOI and I have it in my hands.) Yay me!

Any tips on how to pitch?
Be yourself. Be likable. Explain why you felt you needed to write the script. Stick to the meat of the story. And always remember, the person you're pitching to wants to be won over.

Thanks Richard that's perfect.
I placed this in a Happy Writers mailer this morning, but thought I would share here. Something a lit manager friend of mine told me over lunch yesterday: "The power of being face-to-face with me cannot be understated. You get to show me your personality and passion. I get to see what you're all about. I get to ask you questions. You get to answer. The power and control remain in your hands."

Thanks everybody. This is very exciting. I have the LOI in hand now , so I can name names. We have Isaac Singleton Jr. (Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Pool) now attached. He joins Don Most, Mike Holmes and Dean Christie in the supporting cast. Meeting with a possible leading role actor this week. @Shelagh. All I can say is take the feedback and continuously refine. I've been pitching this script for a while now, taking the feedback and making it better, now starting to see results.
