Hello everyone. My name is Alberto Fernández and I'm a translator and subtitler from Madrid, Spain. I've been subtitling and translating audiovisual products from English into Spanish (Castilian) since 2009 and I also produce SDH/closed captioning for some TV stations in Spain, so I can say I have the pleasure of making audiovisual products understandable and accessible to my country. Thank you, Derrick and Richard! How did I get into the field? Well, I've always loved going to the cinema and watching TV, and people always told me I was good at English, so after getting my degree I studied an MA in Audiovisual Translation. And here I am, doing what I love. And I hope will last, because here in Spain every foreign language product is translated and either dubbed or subtitled.
