Introduce Yourself : Speak To Camera by John Keedwell

Speak To Camera

Hi, my name is John Keedwell and I am based in London in the UK.I have been a member on Stage 32 for many years and seen it grow to what it is today. What a great facility to connect people in film and TV around the globe. I have even done a live webinar a few years ago about shooting video on DSLR cameras. Look it up! My background is in film and TV as cameraman and DoP, and I have been both freelance and in a JOB for 8 years. I mainly shot documentaries and music promos ( mostly on film...) between 1984 and 2005. From 2005 - 2013 I held the position as head of cameras at a car crash test facility - using Phantom high speed cameras, and this is my speciality area of expertise. I now use my broadcast experience of over 3,000 interviews to help people achieve business success through the use of video, and in particular, helping people to learn the many skills in getting their message across by speaking to camera. #speaktocamera I have made online courses so you can learn how to speak and look professional, and they are online so you can learn at your own pace anywhere in the world. I'm just completing the final steps of the latest "speak to camera" course. This will launch late September, so it's all very exciting and putting the final pieces in place. I now tour speaking live with the business and I am currently looking for suitable aidiences around the world to give talks and help you overcome the fear and anxiety of speaking to a video camera. A short video is THE best way to spread your message around the World. Maybe I will be in a city or town near you soon! Author of 2 books, BAFTA voting member, cinematographer, photographer, and now speaker and trainer. Let me know how I may be able to help you in any of these activities, particularly when you need to speak to camera.

It's been one wild and rewarding ride, John. But as I always say, it's the community that makes the whole thing spin. And this is one talented and beautiful community.
