The film, "Passengers," raises fundamental questions about life, especially as regards our attitude toward means and ends. To say that life is a journey does not do the film justice, and yet the screenwriting was in some ways too superficial. For film to wrestle well with fundamental questions, the screenwriters have to think through the deep implications of where the questions lead the writers.
