New screenwriting talent

What ways are execs, agents and producers developing and sourcing new screenwriting talent?

I have doe Pitch Sessions, Script Consultation on this site, Contests, InkTip, Script Revolution, Black List ....this is what I have done so far.

From what I've seen on the east coast, the Big Apple, the local Agencies look at playwrights.

Jeff E. Gregory you keep mentioning this blog post but I'm not seeing it here at S32. Care to share a link so people can actually read it?

New talent must have a body of solid work. Those execs, agents and producers don't want to find out that you only have ONE script. Spend the time creating something worth "discovering." As they say, the good stuff rises to the top. Yes, it's hard to get noticed and make some noise. I know that agents/managers love proactive screenwriters who come to the table with solid scripts, ideas, and a bigger vision of the "bigger picture" of a career. Agencies and production companies have people who look at the internet for short films and interesting new talent. It's easier now than ever to get your work seen, but again it's like throwing a pebble into the ocean unless you remain consistent with your content creation.

I go/went out of my way, trying to bring new filmmaking talent together in my region - folk willing to work together toward a common goal in filmmaking. My observation is that the younger generation seem to want to go directly into retirement. Frankly I'm just burned out - so I've shut down my little soundstage, given up my TV studio, sold my home and am moving. If I'm so inspired in the future, I may go back to it (another cable company wants my show) but basically I'm tired of trying to work with the whiners.
