Yup, this is the right section, Desireé. ;) Personally, I highly recommend PAGE. They break the contest down into genre categories. So drama scripts compete with dramas, comedy competes with comedy, thriller/horror with thriller/horror, etc. There are top award placements in each category as well as an overall winner. Plus the people involved who run the contest are fantastic, professional. My former mentor (V.P. of Development at United Artists) has been a top judge. Some members here have been judges as well. The judge's feedback is well done, etc. PAGE is certainly one of the most reputable contests. Nicholl probably being the top. For a first-time experience, it's a great place to start. Good luck! :)

Hi Desireé - I was a finalist in the drama category of the PAGE awards last year, so I agree with Beth one hundred percent. I paid extra for the feedback, which was very detailed and thorough, and has helped me in the rewrites. In my opinion, the feedback you can receive from some of these contests is as important as your placement, especially when you're first starting out and might not have many connections or a network of people who can help you. I've entered a few other contests, but I've decided to stick with the ones who offer the feedback option, so you get something out of it even if you don't win or advance to the next round.
