Screenwriting : How Her Short Film Script Led to an HBO Premiere by Bill Costantini

How Her Short Film Script Led to an HBO Premiere

Daniela Arguello is a writer/filmmaker from Argentina who wrote a story; shot if for next to nothing; and had it land at none other than HBO/Cinemax.  Her story here is one of passion, determination and perseverance.  Even though she is a trained filmmaker, her retelling of how she made it, how she tried to get it distributed, and how she ultimately got it on HBO, is a nice story for all you writers out there.  Here is the link:

You share really great stuff, bill, its always nice to read about someones path to success.

Bill Costantini

Natalie: thanks. I admire how the paths of success are attained in pretty much everything...and especially in the arts...and especially by people who are underdogs. Nearly every unproven person is an underdog in this business...heck...some proven people are, too, at various times and in various situations...so to read how Ms. Arguello did it....man....that's impressive. And how can someone not feel happiness and admiration for someone like her?

Erik A. Jacobson

Amazing story, Bill. Thanks so much for posting.

Bill Costantini

Erik: Thanks, bro. Ms. Arguello certainly hit a home run with this - or as legendary Chicago White Sox announcer Hawk Harrelson would say, "you can put in on the boarrrr-rrrrrrd....YES!"
