So been on here a while and thought I'd try to involve myself more.
Thought for the day: Humans have always sought to control their environment, in reality and through telling stories. But a couple recent (ish) films are starting to question that. Both "The Girl with all the Gifts" and "Annihilation" question the traditional man wins out over nature trope and instead have their protagonists / humanity being altered by their environment. So it's changed from a win / lose proposition to an acceptance that we have to change ourselves. For me it's a sign of social maturity and accepting the gravity of climate change, and asks the question - are we growing up as a race and also do we as writers / creatives have a responsibility to point the way forwards?

Glad to see you jumping in, Blaise. I'm of the belief, and it's been proven out time and time again over my 10+ years in the business and 7+ running this platform, nothing accelerates success more than relationships. You have to build them. It takes time and patience, but it's a necessity. Here's some proof - https://www.stage32.com/blog/A-Filmmakers-Journey-Part-1-How-Three-Creators-Secured-Named-Talent-for-Their-Film
