We are looking a for a development fund of USD1,00,000. The development fund include research work on Mahesh Yogi from his childhood days till he left India for the world in developing Transcendental Meditation throughout the world. He is a master in developing this art and along with many schools and Universities education based on India Vedas and Meditation. His work was appreciated mostly by Germany, UK, Netherlands and USA.
We are look into getting the script done, first once the research work done, then looks for the director, actor and actresses to recreate the era of Mahesh Yogi. I understand there are many who would be interested see a film is made on him as a biopic. The biopic will like the film made on GANDHI, and Swamy Neelkanth titled as MYSTIC INDIA. Both the films are available on Youtube that people can see.

Just curious, will this bio be a balanced, historically-accurate account of Mahesh Yogi and TM or primarily a message-oriented project intended to market books and related products while white-washing the numerous scandals which plagued MY's final years?

Wait... isn't this the guy who fled several countries avoiding tax evasion and tax fraud charges, and who was sued for fraud on his "yogic flying"? And you want $1m to develop a story...? seems it's been covered recently a lot in documentaries..
Wait...You want a million bucks to develop your story? I think you got it backwards.
Yes, it will be a balanced, historically accurate of Mahesh Yogi and the Transcendental Meditation. There are many institutions, and people who were there till his last breath involved in this project. We are trying to find more details about him during his childhood days in India, his earlier days with the Bala Saraswathi whom he called Guru always. The amount that I wanted is not a million it is 100,000 dollars. With this money we can do lot of work to make a script that is convincing. For your information Dr. John Hagelin, the President of Maharishi University of Management is already on board and he has assured us to share all the details and records that are available with them and also put us directly on to those persons and institutions to help us to bring this project. There were many documentaries made on his tours and preaching, but there is a no Biopic made on him. Please see the film Mystic India that was made on Neelkanth a film made on Gandhi. This year India is celebrating 150 years of birth Gandhi and we wanted to do something to commemorate that. Gandhi was also a person who introduced Self Consciousness during his struggle against the British rule, and his fight and non-violence against the British Rule paid. He brought us independence without firing a bullet against the British who rules us for more than 250 years.
There are many things that are good in Indian faiths and in it's religion. Gandhi preached about that, Neelkanth preached about that in the year 700 BCA. Like that Swami Vivekanand also went abroad and preached about Vedas and Upanishads of India. During the year Adi Shankaracharya preached about Meditation, Adwaid Veda and installed 4 monasteries at the 4 corners of India, based on the 4 Vedas of Hindu religion. One thing that is sure that Mahesh Yogi gave something to the world and told everyone to work for the peace in the world.
Doug Nelson You have read it wrong I asked for 100,000 Dollars
Shadow Dragu-Mihai, Esq., Ipg There are many who did some good work and earned a bad name to it. According to the data that is available there are 5 Million people around the world who are followers of Transcendental Meditation I do not think they all are wrong.
Yes, we are taking the ideas on this production and agree with your thoughts. We want to do a film on him like the film by Richard Attenborough's GANDHI, and market in a similar way, same with the USA Distribution.
We are still discussing and doing research etc. We are hoping David Lynch to come on board as Director as he and his foundation are already involved with the movement from the beginning. Also if he cannot come in due to his preoccupation he will he there to guide the project and it's marketing and distribution there on.
As far as Europe and Asian countries Ilann Girard of Arsam Biz from Paris a renowned documentary film maker is already on board. He had agreed to do the marketing and distribution in Europe and Asean Countries.
Dr John Hagelin President, Maharishi University of Management Studies, Iowa is on board, he has agreed to share with us more materials about Yogi and is also asking some of the guys who had interacted personally with the Yogi while he was alive to join us in our work Dr. Hagelin is on a tour to the Nepal and will be back in USA, by 15th of this month and then he will have a conference call with us.
With so much progress on this we are hopeful that someone coming forward with the kind of funds we are looking at, be it as a sponsor or an investor, we are ready to talk to them and then carry forward.
If you can put in a word to him I would be grateful.
Nothing wrong in trying if really interested we can talk to him
Venugopal Nair My observation was about the public record of ethic, or lack thereof, of the yogi. I did not comment on those who pay money to practice TM.
The state of Iowa is currently giving grants for projects up to $50,000. Research Greenlight grants,. You will need to match $50,000, half of which can be in-kind donations, and the other half cash. You will need Iowa people involved in the project, and since we have the Maharishi university, you might have a good chance. If you come up with half, you'll get the $100,000. Application deadline is June 1st, good luck! Let me know if I can help.
Would love to. Please let me know how you want to help me.
