Stage 32 Short Film Contest Winner Reflections

Filmmakers - I wanted to share a bit about my journey with Stage 32. When I heard about the Stage 32 Short Film Contest, bells rang in my heart. I had already been a member of the Stage 32 community, but to submit my work to the fantastic panel of judges and to connect with the executive staff, and then winning the 4th Annual Stage 32 Short Film Contest by some miracle of luck - well, all I can say is I'm still in awe about the whole thing. Amanda, Richard, Jason, Taylor and the whole Stage 32 team has become a beacon of light to me in this murky (sometimes soul-sucking) industry. The most important thing for any creative is a network of like-minded individuals pushing you and shaping you to become the best possible expression of yourself. From sold out screenings as part of the Holly Shorts Film Festival at The Chinese Theater in Hollywood, to our screening with Raindance Film Festival in London, and then our amazing show at Austin Film Festival - I say with so much hope and passion for what lies ahead, that I have found my tribe at Stage 32 and I am forever grateful to the Universe for this experience. Cheers to the courage to chase our dreams and to know the difference between being led by fear and being led by love. To the Dreamers and the Lovers I say this: You are the creator of your own destiny. Be fearless and shine boldly. Leap, and let the Universe dream with you. Love and gratitude. Avery
