Hey all... a colleague of mine from San Diego Comic-Con invited me to get connected here and I'm just getting to know the place. I'm a content creator operating in multiple avenues: author regularly published in a few magazines and books; professional musician, musical director & composer; occasional screen & stage actor; video & audio editor; stage manager; public speaker, pastor & theologian. Relaunched my YouTube channel during this coronavirus quarantine time & I've been busy generating content for that every week to keep myself sane as I'm locked at home with my tribe.
Per the Comic-Con mention, I've been a volunteer for CCI for 35 years and currently serve as a voting committee member & assistant department head for Artist Alley managing some of our programming in the How To Room. I also contribute as an exhibitor as one of the directors of the San Diego Star Wars Society, as a cosplayer with the 501st & Rebel Legion, recognized as a professional for creative content I've produced within the industry over the years, and I'm an MC and panelist for several long running panels at the convention, including the Star Wars Trivia Contest Panel.
I have ADHD and move rapidly & prolifically from interest to interest, mastering each one before I tackle another. (in)Famously as a race car driver, mechanic, tuner & restorer, I drove a freshly restored show queen off a cliff in Malibu in 2011. I don't recommend that. Please leave driving off cliffs to the professionals.
There's just something about cliffs though. In high school I was on the dive team and we'd often jump off various cliffs and bridges around San Diego, and in Hawaii when we got the chance. I digress. Squirrel!
Currently living in San Diego, working on a speculative fiction novel as well as a nonfiction how-to book, just wrapped up a couple of master's degree programs and considering teaching at the seminary I graduated from. Also restoring a couple of vintage cars & thinking of returning to voice acting after a 20 year hiatus from that.
Welcome to Stage32, Brendan. All the best.
Welcome, Brendan!
Thanks!
