Hello everyone! My name is Maria Lubanovic and I'm a screenwriter and production designer from Ohio. I am working on submitting some of my scripts to contests through the next year until I can move back out to LA. Last summer I was a costume intern for Conan and an unscripted development intern with CitizenSkull Productions. Currently, I co-host and edit Screen Jawns, a podcast about media. I would love to work in TV when everything is back up and running again!
I'm very excited to be part of a larger community of screenwriters. A lot of my experience was in journalism before I found my path to this, which feels very different.
If you ever want to swap scripts, let me know! I am down for anything, especially comedy pilots and shorts.

Hi, Maria: I wrote a script for a children's story: A Christmas Surprise. When the theater group up in Ontario, Canada performed this for the several schools, it was received with great enthusiasm. Do you think you would be interested in this?

Hi Maria, I'm in Ohio too, Cincinnati to be exact. We have a cincyscreenwriters group that you are welcome to join, (even if you're far from Cincy; we're meeting remotely these days). I write comedy shorts on the futility of screenwriting, would love your opinion on the following 2-minute one from my site: https://youtu.be/Us24jY6nHQU
I also like critiquing others' comedy shorts.
Welcome! -Geoff

Hi, Maria and Geoff: I am in PA. I would LOVE to join your group once this COVID is over. I have acted in different movies and t.v. shows in NYC - Law & Order, The Out of Towners with Goldie Hawn and Steve Martin, etc.
I once wrote a script for children: A Christmas Surprise. It was performed by a touring theater group up in Ontario, Canada, when I lived there with my parents - almost 50 years ago. It was received with great enthusiasm. Would anyone be willing to include a novice?

Welcome! I also started in another field before I moved to screenwriting, so I hear ya on that. Sounds like you're doing great though.
Great to have you hear Maria Lubanovic! I would love to get you a free month of the Stage 32 Writers' Room which I host. Drop me an email - j.mirch@stage32.com
