Your Stage : what I learned from quarantine ... by Shawn Speake

what I learned from quarantine ...

Quarantine was and is still in effect for most of America. I hope you are all making the most of your time. Here's what I realized from taking music classes over the imposed lockdown: THE POWER OF 30 MINUTES. Yes, a half-hour... Every day in class, my homework was making a song in 30 minutes or less. At first, I was like, no way. Then under the pressure, I started killin' beats every day. Some in 15 minutes or less. Blew my friends away.:) This assignment changed my outlook on life. FIFTEEN MINUTES in the studio is my money time. Fifteen minutes outside the studio, I don't produce. Here's my latest song from 'badman movie music' library. NOW YOU KNOW. Have u learned anything from your time on lockdown?

I love this reflection, Shawn Speake - thank you for sharing! Actually, I'd love for you to start the conversation in the Composing Lounge as well - I'm sure there are more than a few musicians who can relate! I know you know where it is, but for those who may be reading: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/composing
