Introduce Yourself : Actress, Makeup Artist and Costumer by Jiji Hise

Jiji Hise

Actress, Makeup Artist and Costumer

Hello everyone. My name is Jiji Hise. I am a professional actress, makeup artist and costumer from Albuquerque, NM. Like so many of you probably are, I have been itching to get back to work. But I have been keeping myself busy during this long down time, taking several online classes and workshops from professionals all over the country and even in the UK. When everything is able to start up again. I plan to take the local film and national film community by storm.

I hope the rest of you have been staying safe and well, and I look forward to getting to know more of you and potentially working with some of you in the future.

All the best,

Jiji Hise

Good for you for making the most of the lockdown! I was in Albuquerque a while back on tour. I loved the city and area. Best!

Karen "Kay" Ross

Hey, Jiji Hise! I can't recall if we've met, but my name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. Nice to meet you! I do have friends in NM, so it's possible that's why you seem familiar. Do you know Laramie? She's married to my friend Paul Sitzman.

Of the three, what are you focusing on right now? I'm sure you've discovered the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting), but definitely check out the Filmmaking Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing) for connecting with others about production. There's actually someone in the Acting Lounge asking for volunteers for a table read if you want to jump in on that!

Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time.
