Introduce Yourself : Familiar story but well written! by Robert M Herzog

Robert M Herzog

Familiar story but well written!

I am a published author -- novel, essay collection, short stories, poems. I have two powerful, contemporary screenplays with Oscar level roles including for older actors. I am looking for an agent willing to take a look, as I can help populate a slate for a production company. Any advice welcome, and thanks.

Hey, Robert M Herzog! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. If you'd like to learn more about myself and the Stage32 Team, we have an intro blog: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Meet-the-Stage-32-Team Nice to meet you!

Wow, congrats on your writing successes and your screenplays! Have you pitched it to any of our executives? https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions Definitely reach out to our Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch, who is excellent at matching projects with potential executives (or managers, in your case): J.Mirch@stage32.com

In the meantime, entering in to contests could also help you garner attention from reps and talent. Is the Family Film also a comedy by chance? Our comedy contest is currently open: https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/contests

I’m sure you’ve already discovered the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), but I'd LOVE for you to post in the Authoring & Playwriting Lounge as well! Maybe you could talk about the challenges you overcame adapting from prose writing to screenwriting? https://www.stage32.com/lounge/playwriting

Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time. Cheers!

Karen -- it's taken a while (!) but I'm now looking to participate more fully with Stage 32 as I promote my writing more. Any update on this advice. I reached out to Jason as well, haven't heard back from him yet.
