Hey guys and gals, just a brief proper introduction - My name is Stephen Beason, I’m an independent filmmaker & screenwriter currently living in Arkansas but with my eyes set on California. My debut film that I wrote and directed “Hopeless Romantic” is doing very well on the festival circuit so far! I was lucky enough to have the short produced in part by Tyler Vela who has worked on a myriad of big productions including season 3 of HBO’s True Detective. His experience was invaluable in bringing my vision to life. My style is very much influenced by 70’s Grindhouse, the French New Wave, & filmmakers like Martin McDonagh, Guy Ritchie, Quentin Tarantino, Paul Thomas Anderson, Wes Craven, John Carpenter, & S. Craig Zahler. I love witty, dark, violent crime films but I’m interested and open to other genres as well Western, War, Horror, Superheroes - Original, dark, gritty, and irreverent superhero stories such as The Boys, etc. I’m always open to networking and I can’t wait to work with you all.
