Logline Writing - The Struggle is Real

My experience of designing and writing loglines. It was like that scene from the 1958 version of The Fly. "HELP ME, HELP ME." Damn the struggle was real. But overall, I found it enjoyable because of the challenge. Am I completely satisfied with them? Not all of them. Some turned out ok and some need some work. So with the ones I'm not too pleased with, I'm just going to let them sit for a day or so. Then I'll return and see what I can do to improve them.

Hi, Charles W Gordon III, the struggle truly is real! I was given this template to follow, in case this helps: When [INCITING INCIDENT OCCURS], a [SPECIFIC PROTAGONIST] must [OBJECTIVE], or else (or before) [STAKES]. Hope this helps. May I also suggest posting your loglines on your bio? There's a place where you can specifically add a logline and it helps people rate and review them. Happy writing!

Brilliant Monica Mansy.

thank you!

@Monica thanks for the pointers. Yesterday I woke up and said, "Time to do some loglines." It was if someone was fastening screws into my head. I managed to get ten done and now they're listed. In the end I believe I was my own worst enemy, I was trying too hard, just to "give enough description without revealing too much." As I mentioned in the post going I'm going to dedicate a little time each week to this area.

@Nick that is a good idea to dedicate some time each day to honing the craft. Strangely enough I can come up with loglines on the fly. When I take the dog for a walk, I'm in the car, or I witness something, I can come up with them.
