I'm Ingrid, a writer based in Tasmania, Australia. Since finding Stage 32 earlier this year I've been a "lurker" enjoying the discussions, blogs and webinars. It's a wonderful platform for connecting with fellow creatives all over the world. Thank you RB, Jason, Harrison and Amanda for all that you do.
I'm currently working on my second screenplay and about to start the next re-write after feedback from my writers group and beta readers. I'm very excited about my project and looking forward having clear time this week to work on it. The webinars I've attended with Stage 32 over the last few weeks have helped to improve my focus and clarify aspects of my story that needed more work. It's certainly been worth getting up at 5.30am to attend!
Our longest night of the year is tonight and it's currently being celebrated here in Tasmania with the Dark MOFO festival which encompasses art exhibitions, performance, feasting, and celebrating the dark with lighting installations around the city and in our homes. The festival finishes with a skinny dip in the freezing Derwent River as the sun comes up on the 22nd of June. In previous years thousands of people have taken part, but I expect it will be mostly locals tomorrow due to travel restrictions within Australia.
I wish a happy winter solstice to those in the southern climes, and best wishes for mid summer everywhere else...

Hi, Ingrid and welcome aboard! WOW, those celebrations sound AMAZING! I hope I can experience that one day. I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying the webinars here on Stage 32 and congrats on starting on your second screenplay. I’ve submitted my screenplay here on Stage 32 to an Industry Reader (great when it’s an early draft and not yet ready for exec eyes). I would highly recommend it as it gave me really great direction for rewrites and what worked and didn’t work. Happy writing!

Hi Wally! Hi Chaun! A chilly winter morning here today and we're fogged in on our hill. The winter festival wrapped up this morning, so things may become a little quieter around town now the cold weather has arrived. Planning to get some writing done today... hope you are too. Cheers!
