So I finished Manifest and I have so many questions. When a series ends abruptly, I always wish there was at least one more episode that could tidy all the ends left frayed. It would be cool if networks did contests where they took fan submissions for a series wrap-up episode. The writer who comes up with the most inventive and cost-effective way to finish up a series could get a chance to get the episode shot. It's an idea that could give fans closure and create a more engaged fanbase.

I not seen Manifest so can’t comment on show but yeah a competition would be a great fan base builder. Also a Transmedia ploy where they show alternative endings of winner and runners up. Series often leave questions to make us curious and come back but there’s a difference between “frayed” and “frustrated” endings. Too ambiguous closures make audience feel cheated.

Why would you need a more engaged fanbase for a cancelled series? Oh the woes of staff writing.
