By used Stage32, I assume you mean posted on here and secured actors to facilitate a table read? I believe there was a member who did this a few weeks ago - if you use the search function you should be able to locate the post.
This is timely, I'm planning a table read on-site at a local music studio;
one step I am taking is to cut down Act I of a feature script to a short 15-page excerpt of dialogue-only, basically revising a script specifically tailored to the table read, to make the best use of time on the part of my collaborators.
We'll see where it goes once it's video-recorded, cut and produced, I think potentially it can be part of a show-reel / promo thing or at the very least yield some cool trailer moments and laughs for a micro-short Instagram or TikTok video as the property gains some warmth.
I'm seeing a lot of great filmmakers and producers here on Stage32 and on IG who have already done things like this and
it's very inspiring to see that there is a way to make the pivot and build on one's existing experience without seeking financing or agent or any of the traditional pathways to giving a script momentum in the "marketplace of ideas"
the tools for filmmaking and promoting our literary properties are completely within reach!
Hey Vanessa Beran! We would love to do a Table Read with you through the Writers' Room. You can speak with Louisa Burton and Chaun Lee who have both had table reads in the Writers' Room. If you would like to schedule one - email me at j.mirch@stage32.com

What Jason Mirch said! But also, if you want to organize one, you could post in the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting) to generate interest and even post a Job Listing (https://www.stage32.com/find-jobs/add) to hire for the roles. Do you have a cast of characters with descriptions?
