Good Afternoon Filmmakers,
I've been receiving notifications for producers and as a black filmmaker, I'm curious does Stage32 offer services from producers of color? For years hollywood has not been able to tell our stories. I'm a military veteran and looking to make films. I've won awards for my short film and animation screenplay.
Great to meet you, Devone.

We do work with executives of color, although not all of them are available at all times. If you'd like a recommendation, definitely reach out to our Director of Script Services, Jason Mirch, who is excellent at matching projects with potential executives (or maybe producers, in your case): J.Mirch@stage32.com
I tried to reach out to Jason Mirch. I didn't receive a response. I don't understand how majority of non people of color are always available and people of color are not. Should there be a black stage32 or diverse section of this platform?

Devone Jones As it happens, the majority of my work producing and directing is historically and presently with Black filmmakers, producers and actors. I might be able to give you some insight into certain areas if you want to speak directly. However, in my personal opinion, cleaving off a "Black" or "POC" section is counter-productive and effectively ghettoizes Black filmmakers, by definition separating their point of view from the main community. Feel free to send me a network request if you would like to speak and we can talk privately.
I understand. Just feels like the target audience for Stage32 is non people of color. It's like we don't get the opportunity like others do. What happened to all the great black filmmakers? How are they finding scripts from filmmakers who look like them?
